Innovation districts: hubs for start-ups & homes for talent
Innovation districts create communities that are dynamic, innovative, diverse, and bring global talents together in one space. These districts often foster start-ups and scale-ups; the innovation drivers and job creators/providers in university-cities. However, without established policy and healthy collaboration, the risk of failure of new start-ups remains high. In addition, without the proper infrastructure for talent accommodation, competitive human resources cannot be retained. For innovation districts, accessibility to start-up resources and housing are essential to nurture talent for their professional and personal development.
At our FR session, we will address following questions:
What defines a successful innovation district in terms of living, working and learning?
What are the current and future challenges start-ups and scale-up face in innovation districts?
Which role can housing and infrastructure providers play in fostering innovation in university-cities?
